HELP SAVE THE TURTLES
KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN
Keep a watchful eye on the road and look for turtles crossing the street during peak migratory periods, especially in marshy areas.
SLOW DOWN
Please slow down and obey all speed limits! Most shore speed limits are 25-35 MPH which allow time to stop for turtles. Going fast lessens your reaction time.
GIVE A HELPING HAND
Stop your car and put on your hazards on. If safe, carefully pick up the turtle by the shell near the hind legs and place in the direction it was going.
